Hemorrhoids will refer to the swelling of blood vessels near and around the anus. The hemorrhoidal veins as indicated in hemroid pictures (see above) can be found on the area surrounding the anus and rectum of a person. When these veins are inflamed, then the walls of the veins can be stretched thinly thus will affect the way the person will pass his tool. The inflamed and thinly stretched veins will be irritated for every bowel movement. There are two types of hemorrhoids that a person will develop- the internal and the external hemorrhoids. As the name implies the difference can be found in the area where the veins will be inflamed. The difference between the internal and external hemorrhoids can be found in the location of the inflammation, as indicated on the hemroids picture above. When you say that the inflammation is internal, and then it only means that the development and inflammation happens inside your rectum, thus you will not normally see it. Between the two types of hemorrhoids, the internal hemorrhoids will be less painful since there are a few pain-sensing nerves that can be found in the area. You’ll only know that you have developed this when you notice the blood during bowel movement. This could also lead to prolapsed hemorrhoids.

The other type of hemorrhoids is your external hemorrhoids and considered to be the more painful type.  The veins will ‘prolapse’ to the outside of the anus, thus there’s a big chance that you can easily feel and see this. This can be a painful experience for the person since even the sitting task will be made highly inconvenient and painful. Also if the veins can become ‘thrombosed’ then the look can be menacing and the hemorrhoids can turn into blue or purple. In some cases, the hemorrhoids can bleed as well. When extreme pain is felt, it’s recommended to finally contact a doctor.

Pain should be expected when you develop this type of hemorrhoids. For the first few days, the pain may still be bearable but when the pain becomes too much, then that’s the time that medical attention is required. What the doctor can do is to surgically remove the ‘thrombosed’ hemorrhoid and in the process take away the pain. Another red flag to note and call the doctor is anal bleeding. Pay attention to these signs always.

This is another look at external hemorrhoids showing how it develops outside the anus of the person. If the inflammation of the hemorrhoids will start at the low end of the anal canal, then the development can be called external hemorrhoids. Keep in mind that the differences between the two will depend on where the inflammation will come from. Will it be above or just below the dentate line? As mentioned it is really critical to know the real problem since an external inflammation will be considered as the most painful since the stretched out veins will be irritated when the tool is passed.

The hemorrhoidal cushions that can be found on the upper side of the anal canal are composed of tissues and a number of blood vessels. There should be three major cushions that can be found in the area- the right posterior, right anterior and the left lateral. The moment the internal hemorrhoids will form, vessels will also swell and tissues will also increase in size. The bulging to the tissues will then reach into the anal canal, and bulge outwards. But when it comes to the formation of the internal hemorrhoids, the causes are not yet clear to medical experts.

Are there certain individuals that are at high-risk of hemorrhoids? If experts and medical practitioners are to be believed, it seems that the elderly are at a high risk of developing hemorrhoids. This can be partly explained by the fast deterioration of their bodies, thus swelling will easily happen. This will also happen to pregnant women. The main reason why this happens is that the development of the uterus will pressure the veins of the pelvis and the one on the inferior vena cava. This development will slow down the flow of the blood from the lower part of the person’s body, thus increasing the pressure on the veins, just below the uterus.

When hemorrhoids develop during pregnancy which can be explained through hemroid pictures , then this can affect the child-bearing experience  of the woman. What will be consdiered as a healthy and truly enjoyable experience wiill turn into  a a painful experience once hemorrhoids develop. This will happen because the weight of the pregnant women tend to increase in volume by 40 percent, and this increase in body volume will lead to the relaxatio of the blood vessels, expand and to host extra blood. This is the major reason why pregnant women tend to complain against blood clots, development of varicose veins and also hemorrhoids.
